Puumala – 52 km
This charming town is situated “around” a massive bridge that offers a magnificent view of the surroundings. To enjoy the panorama, you can park at the base of the bridge and take the scenic elevator to the top.
The Puumala harbor is particularly popular. You can set off on a tour of Lake Saimaa aboard the steamship “Wenno”, built in 1907, or other excursion vessels.
In the summer, Puumala features a lively market square and cozy cafes. You can also visit the Lasiruusu glassblowing workshop at Niementie 1A.
