Huuhanranta Beach – 8 km
The unique natural sandy Huuhanranta Beach stretches for almost 1.5 km. Such beaches are a great rarity in Finland, as most of the coastline is rocky or overgrown.
Access to the beach is free, and it is maintained year-round. Camping in tents is allowed on the beach. There is a shallow sandy entrance to the water along the entire length of the shore.
The beach is equipped with shelters, picnic areas, a supply of firewood, and toilets. The surrounding forest is rich in mushrooms and berries.
You can leave your car at the upper free parking lot, where motorhomes and campers are also permitted to park. The lower parking lot is reserved for vehicles with a “Disabled” badge or for temporary stops to unload gear and tents. Afterward, vehicles must be returned to the upper parking lot.
